The world is gone. It took 4 1/2 years to be able to surface again; it's been nearly ten years since then. The Earth is still here... but it's not the same.

Rogue
There's nothing completely honest about a Rogue. They rely on wit and cunning, and are more flexible, dexterous, and deceiving than other classes. Rogues are generally self-taught, versatile, conniving, and clever masters of stealth and subsequently, shadows and the night. It is difficult to catch any professional of these classes.

Warrior
Warriors are a simple type of people, yet strangely varied. Some are honorable and will fight by a code and others are just simple ruffians who will rough the unsuspecting traveller for a bit of coin. But something all warriors have in common is their legendary prowess in battle. Most are always trying to find new ways to test their mettle, and all are never afraid to get into a scrap with others. However, their courage and bravado could also get them killed. It's like the old saying goes: "There are old warriors, and there are bold warriors. But there are no old, bold warriors."

  •  Vandal
Likely the closest thing within the warrior's ranks to a rogue, the vandal rarely has any sense of honor, taking every opportunity to fight dirty and further his own goals, headless of others. Such folk are common amongst gangs and other organizations. The vandal is often just the result of a poverty stricken life, rising above adversity through pure force.
  •  Waste-Walker
When the masses finally came to the surface from whatever bunker they had been staying in, not all of them found civilization. These people have descended into barbaric nomad tribes, mutated as often as not. Each tribe has it's own distinct culture, or even language, but they all have one thing in common: Some of the hardiest and most dangerous fighters in the world. Even after finding civilization, most chose to stay chose to stay in their own isolated groups, wandering in places nobody else could survive.
  • Pugilist
With the return of civilization, the sport of bare knuckle boxing has been elevated into an art form. These pugilists are true sportsman, with their own sub-culture and code of honor, compelling them to always push their strength to the limit. The pugilist's guild is the cultural hub of this group, reinforcing all things manly, though any woman strong enough to join will likely earn the respect of all those involved.

Mage
A mage is a individual who has decided to learn the ancient art of magic. While not as imposing as a warrior, they are just as deadly, if not more so. However, the art of magecraft takes extensive time to learn, even with training. Without training? It can take decades. Another detriment mages have is the fact that the forces they control erode their mind, driving them mad.

Inventors
Inventors are the minds of society. They design, build, and try to reclaim technology that was lost or never found.  Some experiment, while others go with their training and employ new uses for things that were already known. Most fall primarily on the science side, though some are not afraid to mix magic in to get greater effects.

  • Tinkerer: These are the innovators and scientists of the new world. They are constantly building and trying to push the limits of current understanding. Some are considered mad, and most probably have a few screws loose. They tend to be in labs of some sort, personal or otherwise, surrounded by projects that might or might not explode at any given moment.
    SkillSkill LevelsDescriptionExperience (Cost)

Fleshcraft Just a bit of flesh
    .. and now some limbs
    and organs
    ITS ALIVE!
Not everything being built is made of just machines. Some are a hybrid of flesh and oil, and some are purely biological, grafts and golems. Higher ranks create better grafts and pure flesh constructs. (unfortunately these don’t explode) Skill 5 - Cell 4

  • Alchemist:
Chemist: These are exactly what they sound like. Alchemists that choose this route are gifted in brewing a wide range of concoctions, from useful medications to bio-enhancements, from gaseous poisons to volatile substances. They all take the form of what look like potions and vials of gas, and many of their more absurd concoctions have hints of magic to them. They can be found working as pharmacists or in militaries as a wild card, and anything else their skill can be put to use.

--Metallurgist: These alchemists strive to be like those of the old tales. They have figured out ways to warp metals to their biding, instilling properties that should not normally be possible. Some claim to finally be able to transmute metals, like lead into gold, as was attempted in the old tales. Their abilities reek more of magic than chemists, as even the simplest creations cannot be replicated with standard alloys. They are often working with machinists and tinkerers, allowing their new metals to open greater doors.

  • Scavenger: These “builders” are considered the low end of society. They are often outcasts and misfits, even in the post-apocalyptic world. They are still extremely knowledgeable, being able to survive the wastes, find working machine parts and being able to assign values to them. Some of them are even skilled enough to build machinations, hooking up parts that they know work together and can jury-rig attachments. However, they are using ‘scrap’ and other salvaged parts, so these can fail. Scavengers often work for machinists and tinkerers, finding equipment that was thought to be lost and selling them for a premium.

This represents how well a scavenger knows the demolished area he is in. Higher levels mean easier time finding paths and avoiding creatures Skill 5 - Cell 4

  • Machinist: The master builders of the new era. No matter whose mind it first existed in, its construction was undoubtedly passed down to a machinist, or a group of machinists. People to whom feats of engineering and construction are as easy as a jigsaw puzzle would be for a teenager, the Machinist form the backbone of anything from airship crews to modern cities.
    SkillSkill LevelsDescriptionExperience (Cost)
